What no-shows cost barbershops

The chair is gone. The fee never comes.

50–100%of the service price is what most shop owners set as the no-show fee1
Card firstmatters more than the fee amount: asking after the miss usually fails1
25–50%is the usual charge for a late cancellation2
Sound familiar?

Barbering runs on loyalty.

Chasing a regular for a no-show fee feels like it costs you the regular. So you eat it, and the empty chair adds up every week.

Guacamole does the asking. You stay the one they like.

  1. 3:00 · Fade booked. Chair cleaned, clippers ready.
  2. 3:15 · Nobody. A walk-in left 20 minutes ago because you were "booked".
  3. 3:20 · You text him. Delivered, no reply.
  4. 3:45 · The slot is gone, and so is the walk-in.
How it works

Prevent. Protect. Recover. Refill.

01

Prevent

A reminder before every cut. Rescheduling takes one tap.

02

Protect

Every booking is secured with a card. Nothing is charged upfront.

03

Recover

Missed without notice? Your fee is collected automatically.

04

Refill

Cancelled in time? The slot goes to clients waiting for an earlier cut.

"But…"

What every barber asks us first.

"Booksy and Squire already have no-show fees."

They can charge a card. You still decide, press the button and see the client next time. Guacamole handles the reminder, the charge and the refill on its own.

"My clients will go to the shop down the street."

They agreed to the policy when booking and got a reminder. The ones who still skip without a word are the ones costing you most.

"It's only a $40 cut."

Six missed cuts a week at $40 is over $12,000 a year.

"Most of my clients text me to book."

Send your Guacamole link instead. The policy and card are captured in the same step.

The rules

Charge it the right way.

Card on file at booking

The fee only works if the card is captured before the miss. Guacamole does this in the booking itself.1

Local rules

Some places restrict card-on-file charges. Keep the fee clear, reasonable and agreed in advance.3

Regulars stay regulars
