Sound familiar?

Asking for money after a no-show feels petty.

You are a professional. Emailing a client an invoice for a call they skipped feels small, so you let it go, again.

Guacamole does the asking. You stay the one they like.

  1. 10:00 · A paid strategy call is on your calendar. You prepped for an hour.
  2. 10:05 · Zoom is open. Nobody joins.
  3. 10:15 · You email: "Still on?" No reply.
  4. 10:30 · Two hours of your week, unpaid, and Calendly has no button for it.
How it works

Prevent. Protect. Recover. Refill.

01

Prevent

Reminders before every call, and rescheduling clients can do themselves.

02

Protect

The call is secured with a card when booked. Nothing is charged upfront.

03

Recover

Missed without notice? Your fee is charged and paid to your account.

04

Refill

A cancelled slot is offered to clients waiting for an earlier call.

"But…"

What every consultant asks us first.

"Clients will think I'm nickel-and-diming them."

They agree to the policy when they book and get a free way to reschedule. Only people who skip without a word are charged, and the message comes from Guacamole, not you.

"I'll just take a deposit in Calendly."

A deposit charges every client upfront and adds friction to booking. A card on file charges nobody unless they miss.

"Cal.com can already do this."

It can, and you'd still be switching booking tools. Guacamole also sends the reminders and refills cancelled slots, not just the fee.

"My calls are high-value. I don't want friction."

Saving a card takes seconds and nothing is charged. Serious clients don't mind; the ones who do are often the ones who no-show.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

When you book a call, that time is reserved for you and prepared for in advance. Please give at least [24] hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.

• Cancel or reschedule [24]+ hours ahead: no charge.
• Late cancellation (under [24] hours) or no-show: $[75].
• If you join more than 15 minutes late, the call ends at the scheduled time.

A card is kept on file to secure your booking and is only charged under this policy.
The rules

Charge it the right way.

Agreed at booking

Clients see and accept your policy before the call is confirmed. Every charge has a record.

Deposits are the old workaround

Calendly's own suggestion is a refundable booking fee. That charges everyone upfront; a card on file only charges people who miss.1

Your rules

Set different fees and notice windows for discovery calls, paid sessions and long engagements.
