What no-shows cost med spas

The treatment is gone. The fee never comes.

12–22%average med spa no-show rate in industry benchmarks4
22–26%of first-time clients miss, versus 10–12% of returning clients4
~$350+lost per empty treatment slot in one industry model5
Sound familiar?

Premium clients expect flexibility.

Charging a high-value client feels risky when they spend thousands a year. So the policy bends, and the treatment room sits empty.

Guacamole does the asking. You stay the one they like.

  1. 11:00 · Laser room booked for a 90-minute package session.
  2. 11:15 · The client hasn't arrived. The provider waits.
  3. 11:30 · "Running late, can I come at 1?" You're fully booked.
  4. 12:30 · A premium slot is gone, and so is the margin.
How it works

Prevent. Protect. Recover. Refill.

01

Prevent

Smart reminders with prep instructions and one-tap rescheduling.

02

Protect

Treatments are secured with a card. Nothing is charged upfront.

03

Recover

Late cancel or no-show? Your fee is collected automatically.

04

Refill

Cancelled treatments are offered to clients waiting for an earlier slot.

"But…"

What every med spa asks us first.

"We already use Boulevard or Zenoti."

They can store a card. Guacamole handles what they leave to your front desk: the reminder sequence, charging per policy, the receipt, and refilling the room from your waitlist.

"Our VIPs won't accept a fee."

VIPs agree at booking like everyone else, and you can waive any fee in one tap. The point is the first-timers who miss at twice the rate.

"We take deposits on injectables."

Keep them if you like. A card on file covers every other service without charging upfront, and cancelled slots still get refilled.

"Is this compliant?"

Fees are shown and accepted before booking, and no treatment details appear in messages. Have your policy reviewed for your state.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Your treatment time is reserved for you, and many services require preparation. Please give us notice if you need to change your appointment:

• Most services: 24 hours' notice.
• Injectables, laser treatments and chemical peels: 48 hours' notice.

Late cancellations: [50]% of the treatment price.
No-shows, or arriving more than 15 minutes late: [100]% of the treatment price.

A card is kept on file to secure your booking and is only charged under this policy. Genuine emergencies are always considered.
The rules

Charge it the right way.

Upfront and reasonable

Fees should be clear, reasonable and agreed before booking. Guacamole shows and records them at every booking.1

Legal review

Medical-grade services can carry extra rules. Have your policy checked by someone who knows healthcare compliance in your region.2

Longer notice for procedures

Set a longer window for injectables and laser; Guacamole applies it per treatment.
